This Easy Gingerbread Cake Recipe is a rich and delicious cake recipe that's loaded with warm spices, and candied ginger, and topped with a velvety cream cheese frosting.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and line a baking pan. Begin by creaming together butter and sugar then add in molasses.
Add in dry ingredients and mix until combined.
Slowly pour in hot water and candied ginger. Do not overmix.
Pour into baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes. Remove and allow to cool before icing with a cream cheese icing.
