An Easy Green Smoothie Recipe that is a healthy combination of leafy green spinach, sweet pineapple, mango, and nut milk. Few ingredients and delicious flavor.
Green Smoothies are a great way to pack in some fruit and vegetables, especially if you want to give your immune system a boost. They are also great for those times when you find yourself needing a bit more energy. If you are anything like me, then you may also find yourself not eating enough fruits and veggies throughout the day as you probably need to.
It also does not help matters much with having a busy schedule and finding the time to pack in as many micronutrients as possible. One way that I have been able to make sure that I get enough, is by having a green smoothie.
How to make a green smoothie
These are perfect because you basically pack everything into a blender, pulse it, and serve it in a glass. At this point, you can take it with you on the go. My favorite green smoothie combination is pretty simple. I love to use spinach because it does not have a strong flavor and is easy to find in abundance at the grocery store. I also love adding some pineapple for sweetness and mango for a tropical flavor. Lastly, I use almond milk for a bit of creaminess and to provide a dose of healthy fat and protein. This smoothie has a mild flavor that is not loaded with sugar.
Green Smoothie Ingredients:
1/2 cup milk (I use original almond milk)
1 cup frozen pineapple pieces
1 cup frozen mango chunks
a big handful fresh baby spinach
Instructions:
Place all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
I use a single serve blender and I love how fast clean up is with this.
Pour into a glass and serve immediately.
