FAQ: Honey Sriracha Salmon

Can I make it less spicy?

Yes! Reduce the amount of sriracha or swap in sweet chili sauce for a milder flavor.

What if I don't have rice vinegar?

White wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar both work great.

Can I grill the salmon instead?

Absolutely! Grill over medium heat for about 6–8 minutes per side, basting with glaze.

How do I know when salmon is done?

It should flake easily with a fork and be opaque in the center. Internal temp should reach 145°F.

What to Serve with Honey Sriracha Salmon

Honey Sriracha Salmon pairs beautifully with sides that balance its sweet and spicy flavor. Here are a few delicious options:

  • Steamed Rice or Grain Bowls: White rice, brown rice, coconut rice, or cauliflower rice to soak up the glaze.
  • Mashed Potatoes: Creamy mashed potatoes complement the spice.
  • Simple Salad or Greens: Crisp mixed greens or arugula tossed with vinaigrette.
  • Roasted or Sautéed Vegetables: Try roasted broccoli, sautéed green beans, or a colorful veggie medley.
  • Salmon Bowls: Layer salmon over rice, add veggies, and drizzle with extra glaze for a complete meal.

Storage Tips

  • Storage: Let leftover salmon cool completely. Store in an airtight container or wrapped tightly in foil. Refrigerate for up to 2–3 days.
  • Reheating: Reheat gently in a skillet over medium heat or in a 300°F oven until warmed through. A microwave or air fryer can be used for quicker reheating, but be careful not to dry it out.
  • Freezing: You can freeze cooked salmon for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
