- 12 ounces linguine
- 12 ounces grape tomatoes, halved
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 sprigs basil
- 4.5 cups water
- salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese, grated
In a large skillet over high heat, combine that pasta, tomatoes, onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, olive oil, basil, and water. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Bring the water to a boil, while stirring and turning the pasta frequently with tongs to cook evenly.
Once the pasta is al dente and the water has nearly evaporated, feel free to season with additional salt and pepper before serving.
Serve immediately with Parmesan cheese.
