Ingredients

  • 12 ounces linguine
  • 12 ounces grape tomatoes, each cut in half
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 sprigs basil
  • 4 ½ cups water
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over high heat, combine the 12 ounces linguine pasta, 12 ounces tomatoes, 1 small sliced onion, 4 cloves garlic, ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 springs of basil and 4 ½ cups of water. Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
  • Bring the water to a boil, while stirring and turning the pasta frequently with a pair of tongs to endure everything cooks evenly.
  • Once the pasta is al dente and the water has nearly evaporated from the pan, give the pasta a taste and feel free to season with a little more salt and ground black pepper before serving.
  • Serve immediately topped with some grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days and reheat before serving.
