- 12 ounces linguine
- 12 ounces grape tomatoes, each cut in half
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, sliced thinly
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 sprigs basil
- 4 ½ cups water
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
In a large skillet over high heat, combine the 12 ounces linguine pasta, 12 ounces tomatoes, 1 small sliced onion, 4 cloves garlic, ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 springs of basil and 4 ½ cups of water. Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
Bring the water to a boil, while stirring and turning the pasta frequently with a pair of tongs to endure everything cooks evenly.
Once the pasta is al dente and the water has nearly evaporated from the pan, give the pasta a taste and feel free to season with a little more salt and ground black pepper before serving.
Serve immediately topped with some grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
