Halloween Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats

Pumpkin Rice Krispie Treats are a sweet, gooey, and crispy Halloween inspired treat that is fun and delicious. Make a batch to share with the whole family!

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 10 ounces mini marshmallows
  • 6 drops orange food coloring
  • 4 cups rice krispies cereal
  • 6 pieces Rolo chocolate candy
  • green icing
  • cooking spray

Instructions

  • Using a large pot, over medium-low heat, add the 3 tablespoons butter and stir until it has melted. Add the 10 ounces of mini marshmallows and stir continuously until they have completely melted.
  • Add in the 4 to 6 drops of orange food coloring and stir until combined.
  • Carefully remove the pot from the heat and quickly stir in the 4 cups rice krispies cereal. Continue stirring until the cereal is well coated in the marshmallow mixture.
  • *If more food coloring is needed, then feel free to add more at this point.
  • Wash your hands and spray them with cooking spray. Divide the mixture into six even amounts/sections. Roll each section into a pumpkin-shaped ball. Place into a dish and allow the treat balls to cool completely.
  • Using a small knife (like a pairing knife) cut a small circle into the top of each treat ball and add the 6 pieces of chocolate candy to the top. Press to reform the pumpkin shape.
  • Lastly using a tube of green frosting, make a couple of leaf shapes on the top, next to the chocolate. Serve and Enjoy!
  • Store any leftovers uneaten rice krispie treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. These treats do not have to be kept in the refrigerator.
