- 3 tablespoons butter
- 10 ounces mini marshmallows
- 6 drops orange food coloring
- 4 cups rice krispies cereal
- 6 pieces Rolo chocolate candy
- green icing
- cooking spray
Using a large pot, over medium-low heat, add the 3 tablespoons butter and stir until it has melted. Add the 10 ounces of mini marshmallows and stir continuously until they have completely melted.
Add in the 4 to 6 drops of orange food coloring and stir until combined.
Carefully remove the pot from the heat and quickly stir in the 4 cups rice krispies cereal. Continue stirring until the cereal is well coated in the marshmallow mixture.
*If more food coloring is needed, then feel free to add more at this point.
Wash your hands and spray them with cooking spray. Divide the mixture into six even amounts/sections. Roll each section into a pumpkin-shaped ball. Place into a dish and allow the treat balls to cool completely.
Using a small knife (like a pairing knife) cut a small circle into the top of each treat ball and add the 6 pieces of chocolate candy to the top. Press to reform the pumpkin shape.
Lastly using a tube of green frosting, make a couple of leaf shapes on the top, next to the chocolate. Serve and Enjoy!
Store any leftovers uneaten rice krispie treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. These treats do not have to be kept in the refrigerator.
