This crispy oven roasted broccoli recipe is quick, easy, and bursting with flavor. Just a few ingredients and 30 minutes for the perfect healthy side dish.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
Wash and dry the 1 large head of broccoli. Cut into even-sized florets.
Place broccoli on the prepared sheet pan. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons olive oil and season with ½ teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon ground black pepper. Toss to coat evenly. Spread in a single layer without overcrowding.
Roast for 15 minutes, then toss. Roast another 10 to 15 minutes until golden and crisp on the edges.
Remove from the oven and serve warm or store and reheat later. Enjoy!
Notes
Dry the broccoli well. Too much moisture = steamed, not roasted.
Cut florets evenly. They’ll cook more consistently.
Give it space. Crowding the pan traps steam and prevents browning.
Use a hot oven. 400°F is ideal for crispy edges.
Toss halfway. This helps the broccoli brown evenly.
