In a large bowl, mix together 2 cups sour cream, 1 cup cheese, 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup, ½ cup melted butter, ½ cup onion, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, ¾ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, and 30 ounces hash browns until fully combined.
