Ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • cup nuts and/or seeds
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon or any other spice
  • ¼ cup oil
  • ¼ cup sweetener
  • cup other options
  • ¼ cup more options

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Using a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, nuts and/or seeds, salt, and spices. 
  • Stir in the oil, sweetener, and mix well until thoroughly coated. 
  • Pour the granola onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer. Lightly press into the baking sheet. 
  • Place in the oven and bake until lightly browned about 15 to 20 minutes. Stopping halfway during the baking to stir and press into the baking sheet again. 
  • Remove from the oven and allow the granola to cool completely before touching. 
  • Top with dried fruit and other options. Break apart into chunks and store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 2 weeks.
