Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan

Ingredients

  • 4 cans canned California Cling Peaches
  • cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 8 sliced artisan bread

Instructions

  • Begin the sandwich recipe by making the California Cling Peach Jam by adding some canned cling peaches, granulated sugar, corn starch, and salt into a medium saucepan over low heat.
  • Use a potato masher to combine the ingredients and break the cling peaches into smaller pieces. The mixture will still be chunky. Cook for about 3 minutes, stirring often.
  • Carefully remove the saucepan from the heat and allow it to cool completely before adding the jam into a jar with a lid or an airtight container with a lid.
  • Next, assemble the sandwich by grabbing two slices of artisan bread. Use a knife to evenly spread the cling peach jam on one side of a slice of bread and peanut butter on the other slice.
  • Gently press together the side with the jam and the peanut butter. Make sure the top meets the bottom and slice in half if you prefer before serving. Enjoy!
  • Store any cling peach jam leftovers in an airtight container or jar with a lid in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
