Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup milk, heated 30 seconds in the microwave
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees F. Put the butter in a large (ovenproof) skillet and place into the oven.
  • In a medium-size mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, flour, warm milk, sugar, vanilla, pinch of salt and whisk about a minute until combined and all lumps are gone.
  • Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven and the butter should be completely melted. Swirl the butter around to coat the entire bottom of the skillet.
  • You may pour out the additional butter and then pour the batter into the hot skillet and return to the oven to cook until the pancake is golden brown and puffed in the center and the edges; about 20 to 25 minutes.
  • While the pancake is baking, prepare the fried apples….the link to the recipe is here.
  • Using a spatula, remove the pancake from the pan and place on a cooling rack for a few minutes to allow the steam to escape without making the pancake soggy.
  • Top with cooked apples and dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
