Equipment

  • 1 Large Sheet Pan
  • 1 Food processor
  • 1 microwave

Ingredients

  • 3 cups popped popcorn
  • 12 individual chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 11 ounces white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Begin the recipe by lining a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside. Pop the 3 cups of popcorn and place it into a large mixing bowl.
  • Using a food processor, add in 12 chocolate sandwich cookies, and pulse them until it resembles a coarse meal. If you don't have a food processor, then place the cookies into a gallon-size storage bag, close the bag, and roll a rolling pin over the bag to crush the cookies.
  • Using a double boiler or the microwave melt the 11 ounces white chocolate until it becomes fully melted and smooth. If you prefer to use the microwave be sure to keep an eye on the chocolate so it won't burn.
  • Pour the melted chocolate on top of the popcorn into the large bowl. Add the crushed sandwich cookies and gently stir until combined.
  • Evenly pour the popcorn onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out into a single layer. Allow the popcorn to cool and set for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
  • Store any leftover popcorn in an airtight container or plastic storage bag at room temperature for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • Use plain popcorn or lightly salted, but not movie theater or buttery. Homemade, microwave, or premade will all work.
  • Whether melting the white chocolate on the stovetop or in the microwave, but sure to watch it closely as white chocolate burns easily.
  • Use a food processor to crush the cookies into a coarse meal. If you don't have a food processor, add them to a plastic storage bag and roll a rolling pin over it a few times.
  • Do not use double stuff sandwich cookies for this recipe, be sure to use regular chocolate sandwich cookies.
