- 12 pack Dinner Rolls
- ¾ cup pizza sauce
- ½ green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 ounce black olives, sliced
- 1 ounce mushrooms, sliced
- 3 ounces sliced pepperoni
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Begin the recipe by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F. Slice the dinner rolls in half and place the bottom part of the rolls into a 9x13-inch rectangle baking pan. Evenly spread half of the ¾ cup of pizza sauce on the bottom half of the rolls.
On top of half of the pizza sauce, evenly layer the rolls with ½ of a thinly sliced green bell pepper, 1 ounce sliced black olives, 1 ounce sliced mushrooms, 3 ounces sliced pepperoni, and ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese.
Top with the other half of the pizza sauce and cover with the top of the dinner rolls.
In a small bowl, whisk together the 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, 2 tablespoons butter, ¼ cup olive oil, 1 clove minced garlic, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, and ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper. Evenly drizzle the mixture on top of the rolls making sure that each roll has a little bit of the sauce on top.
Cover the sliders with aluminium foil and place in the oven to bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Carefully remove the aluminium foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the rolls have lightly browned. Serve warm and enjoy!
If you have any leftovers, then be sure to store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- When making the rolls, be sure to select the savory rolls and not the sweet ones unless that is what you prefer. However, the savory rolls work best.
- Be sure to check the rolls while baking and do not overbake them. Once they have lightly browned and the cheese is melted and bubbly, pull them from the oven.
- If there are any toppings that you do not like, then you may omit them. You may also add other ingredients like some thinly sliced onion if you prefer.
