- 4 cans canned California Cling Peaches
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 8 sliced artisan bread
Begin the sandwich recipe by making the California Cling Peach Jam by adding some canned cling peaches, granulated sugar, corn starch, and salt into a medium saucepan over low heat. Use a potato masher to combine the ingredients and break the cling peaches into smaller pieces. The mixture will still be chunky. Cook for about 3 minutes, stirring often.
Carefully remove the saucepan from the heat and allow it to cool completely before adding the jam into a jar with a lid or an airtight container with a lid.
Next, assemble the sandwich by grabbing two slices of artisan bread. Use a knife to evenly spread the cling peach jam on one side of a slice of bread and peanut butter on the other slice.
Gently press together the side with the jam and the peanut butter. Make sure the top meets the bottom and slice in half if you prefer before serving. Enjoy!
Store any cling peach jam leftovers in an airtight container or jar with a lid in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
