Its Wednesday…Now What?!?!

Today is suppose to be my first Wednesday of starting something new!

I was suppose to be breaking out of the box on this day in terms of what I post and do something like share more about myself, my family, inspiration, motivation, or just anything different than what I have been doing. This is suppose to be the day that I challenge myself to do something different with my blog…so I thought about all of the many things that I could share with you on this day. Perhaps make a video…write something profound…share some extraordinary photos of my world…the possibilities are endless.

So endless in fact that I had no idea where to begin and I began to instantly think that perhaps this was a huge mistake and I should have just stuck with the same ole tried and true Wednesday post.

Then I realized something…

This is not the first time that this has happened to me and I am sure that even you have had this same experience as well. You make a decision to do something new or perhaps you had an inward nudge to do something that is out of your realm of comfort and for whatever reason…Boom…Nothing Happens!

This my friends is fear and it will stop you from not only achieving great things in your life, but also from breaking out of your comfort zone and trying something new.

All of us have something great that we do that no one else can do better than we can, but for some reason we choose to ignore the thing that will make us happy and fulfilled because we are afraid and our inner voices take over and so we fail to do what we know we should be doing.

Do not let fear take over and steal your greatness…you have a gift that someone else needs right now. If you had the cure for cancer…would you keep that to yourself???

Probably Not…So I will not let fear keep me from trying something new and I hope you will join me on the journey.

I used to be terrified to sing in front of people, TERRIFIED! And then I made a deal with myself; I said that any time someone asked me to sing I would have to do it. And I told people this almost to encourage them to try me. And some people did, and it really helped me get over the fear. Now I sing regularly in a band and I don’t suffer from stage fright whatsoever. Goof for you for tackling your fear!
