Day 6 My 7 Day Juice Fast Journey is the first day of a weeklong journey in which blogger, Simply LaKita will fuel her body with nothing but fresh juice.
Well…Well…Well…Would you just take a look at that…I made it to Day 6 of my 7-Day Juice Fast!!
Today is the 6th day and after today I will only have 1 day left to complete this 7-day juice fast. I am so excited and surprised that I was able to make it this far along in my journey and can actually see the end in sight. A week may sound like a short period of time in theory, but when you are not eating ANYTHING at all…no breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack…it can seem like a pretty long time.
Day 6 Recap…
~Weight Loss- I did not weigh myself today, but so far I have lost a total of 5.5 lbs.
~Sleep- I sleep like a baby. I am getting the best sleep of my life and that allows me to get so many things done during the day because I have tons of energy.
~Symptoms- No headache at all and hunger pains have significantly decreased. I have noticed that today I have experienced a nasty case of the yuck mouth. My tongue has a white coating on it and my saliva is thicker and a little nasty tasting, so I found myself brushing my teeth more, using a tongue scraper, and chewing gum. This is just another sign that my body is detoxing and should subside soon.
**I am not sure if I stated this earlier or not, but if you are interested in completing a 7-day juice fast on your own, then you should consult your doctor first if you are on any type of medication or have any medical issues.**
Today is Saturday…Hope you are enjoying the weekend.
Today I decided to cook for my family because they are not on the fast with me and I have not been cooking much since the beginning of my 7-day juice fast. I made crockpot lasagna and some marble flavored cupcakes with cream cheese icing for dessert. Although I was very tempted to taste the dinner and dessert (sweets are my weakness), I did not.
Instead, I make myself a new juice called…
~ Pico de Gallo in a Glass
• 6 tomatoes
• 1 lemon
• 1 bunch of parsley
• Add salt and pepper to taste
This recipe was really good and having a new recipe to try out made me less likely to cheat on my 7-day juice fast. If you find yourself getting bored with your juice do not be afraid to mix it up and try something new.
See you tomorrow for Day 7 (WhooHoo) of my 7-Day Juice Fast.
