Day 4 of My 7 Day Juice Fast Journey
I am so pleased to share with you that today is Day 4 of my 7-day juice fast.
~Weight Loss-Today I did not actually weight myself because the scale will begin to drive you crazy if you step on it on a daily basis.
~Symptoms-Mild head-ache today, but on a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the least and 10 being the worst), it was about a 1. The headaches are just a sign that my body is releasing toxins.
~Sleep-My sleep once again last night was restful, however, I had a weird dream and I woke up not so sure where I was…Crazy right? I woke up early again and had lots of energy all through the day.
~Cravings-None to report today, just noticed that I felt hungry more often. This was probably because of the fact that I did not actually consume as much water as I really should have. Fresh juice can make your stomach feel really full.
Speaking of water…
During a 7-day juice fast you should drink at least a gallon of water per day if not more. Your body really needs water to get rid of the toxins that are released during a 7-day juice fast. Water will also help to keep you properly hydrated and make you feel quite full. The recommended juice amount that you should be consuming is 64 to 96 ounces of juice a day. Again if you feel that you need more…Drink More Juice. This is just a rule of thumb for you to follow and you want to make certain that you are drinking at least the 64 ounces of juice each day.
How do I store my juice and how long will it last?
You should store your juice in the refrigerator in glass containers (not plastic). I use the quart size mason jars (wide mouth) to store my juice. The juice should last 24 to 48 hours, but that also depends on the ingredients used along with your personal taste.
Do I have to peel my fruits and veggies before I juice them?
Hmmm…It is usually recommended that if you are not using ‘organic’, then you definitely should peel and if it is ‘organic’ then don’t worry about it. If you don’t feel like peeling…do not peel. It is far better than you can juice something, than nothing at all. It also depends on the type of juicer that you have if you should peel or not. Bottom line…do what feels suitable for you.

Sweet Potato Dream
• 1 sweet potato
• 5-6 carrots
• ½ pineapple
• 2 apples
• 4 carrots
• 1 lemon
• 1 knob of ginger
Cool ‘n You
• 2 bunches of grapes
• 1 cucumber
• 1 full head of celery
• 2 apples
• 1 lemon
